Our Church
The Senior Pastor, Architect Alex Adegboye, established The Stone Church Int'l in April 1993, as an arm of the Word Alive Ministries Int'l with Headquaters now in Mokola, Ibadan. The Lagos Church was established in October 1996 at Ikeja, Pastored by Professor J.K. Saliu.
However, The Stone Church Yaba held the first Sunday Service (Inaugural) on the rainy 12th, February 2017 at the Havilah Event Center in Yaba area. About 200 people attended that inauguration service.
Now we are located at 6 Shiro Street, Fadeyi-Yaba, Lagos, situated at the center of Lagos. Yaba is about 10minutes away from the island and also 10 minutes away from the mainland; so, we are easily accessible to both the islanders and mainlanders. We moved to this present location on 3rd September 2017.
Daniel 2:34-35 (KJV)
[34] Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. [35] Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
The Stone symbolized in this vision gives a revelation of the Kingdom of the Great King Jesus which outlasts every other kingdom.
He is the Stone that was rejected but has become the head of the corner - Psa. 118:22
He is the Stone of Israel - Gen. 49:24
He is the Stone that falls on you such that it will crush you to powder and that when you fall on it, it will break you into pieces - Matthew 21:44
He is the First and the Last, Alpha and Omega that fills all things with Himself - Rev. 22:13
He is THE STONE.
